Why is this migration even happening? 3 reasons: Cheaper, Faster, better UX Faster: Polkadot is the fastest decentralised blockchain network on the planet. For the next growth step, most basic functionality needs to move into system chains, so that the base chain can max out on more critical performance items on the base chain and scale to 1m tps. System chains can have faster block times, e.g 500ms and have more DA and compute Cheaper: system chain transactions cost a fraction (1/100th) of relay chain transactions Better UX: moving everything to a system chain will allow smart contracts, more secure assets, governance and staking all live on the same chain while the system can scale to 1m tps

And we are done! Now cool-off phase to give devs time for post-flight checks. After about an hour the migration should be considered complete. Your favorite apps and CEXes should also be updated, but don't panic if something doesn't look right. It might just be that your app shows it wrong if it didn't yet update. Next step will be to see if all parachains handled the migration gracefully
