Everytime you do something onchain (buy NFT, sell memecoins, send SOL, etc.) a tx gets added to a block Block Builders then decide which transactions go into the next block & in what order This order matters for you. Why?

Imagine you try to buy a token for $1 A block builder sees it and puts their own buy before yours They sell it at $1.05 after you, pocketing the difference Who controls the order = who can capture these profits

But this isn't the only problem... Right now, Solana’s block construction pipeline isn't decentralized enough — a few builders have a lot of control, which creates: > delayed and expensive txs > reduced validator revenue > MEV concentration (described above)
