USDT/BRL Pair Update: New Tick Size Effective April 22

OKX is updating the tick size for the USDT/BRL trading pair. Starting April 22, 2026 (Wednesday), the BRL price precision will change from 3 decimal places to 4 decimal places.

What’s changing?

The tick size defines the smallest price increment allowed when placing an order. With this update:

  • Before (3 d.p.): prices were quoted as, for example, R$ 5.745

  • After (4 d.p.): prices will be quoted as, for example, R$ 5.7450

This means traders will be able to place orders with finer price granularity on the USDT/BRL pair.

Why does this matter?

Greater price precision enables tighter spreads between buy and sell orders, which can improve market liquidity and offer better execution conditions for traders.

What do you need to do?

  • Open orders: review your open orders on the USDT/BRL pair before April 22. Existing orders that do not conform to the new tick size may be adjusted or canceled automatically.

  • Bots and APIs: if you use trading bots or API integrations, update your price precision settings to 4 decimal places for the USDT/BRL pair before the change date.

  • Manual trading: no additional action is required. The platform will be updated automatically to accept the new precision.

When does it take effect?

The change will be implemented on April 22, 2026 (Wednesday). We recommend all traders prepare in advance to ensure a smooth transition.
