HYPE flipping SOL on price isn't as big of a deal as people are making it. Let's break this down calmly. Price alone is one of the weakest ways to compare two assets. It doesn't tell you about supply, utility, or real network value. So seeing HYPE surpass SOL in price per token? That's more of a headline than a fundamental shift. Even HYPE flipping SOL in FDV isn't earth-shattering. FDV can be misleading, especially when a token hasn't fully unlocked. What would actually be jaw-dropping is if HYPE starts challenging SOL on real market cap. That's where the weight is. Right now, HYPE's market cap sits around 16.5 billion. SOL is roughly 41.5 billion. That's still a massive gap, and it shows SOL's dominance in actual capital deployed and ecosystem depth. So yes, HYPE is undeniably impressive. Real product. Real revenue. Real attention. The team is executing at a high level. But the narrative that HYPE has "flipped" SOL is just CT getting caught up in the moment. It's a fun stat, not a paradigm shift. Wake me up when HYPE starts closing that real market cap gap. Until then, let's keep things in perspective.
